With the invented persona named, Mademoiselle X, the artist Johanna Wagner is performing complex, gender fluid and timeless characters.
Through a carefully choreographed performance, she is changing the costumes and undertaking various roles as she is performing on the stage.
The theatrical accessories such as wigs, hats, clothes, gloves, disco balls and many other supplementary elements, which she meticulously selected carry cultural, historical and gender references.
As she is changing the costumes, the video that is being screened on the background and the live music* are also changing.
Therefore the dynamic of the performance is based on a multi-disciplinary platform.
Another crucial part of the performance are the lyrics. They are between poetry and song lyrics.
Wagner is between singing, reading out loud and performing. This beautifully blurred performance shed a light on the world that we live in today.

Show Me Your Silly Smile / WAGNER + MXO1
Möchte gern Pop Sternchen mit Hang zum Theatralischen, lassen auch mal die Anmut fallen für Jene, die etwas Besseres als Exorzismus benötigen.
Mithilfe der Persona Mademoiselle X performt Wagner komplexe, geschlechtsübegreifende und zeitlose Charaktere. Während der Performance wechselt sie mehrfach die Kostüme und nimmt verschiedene Rollen wahr.
Neben antik anmutenden Einflüssen des 80er Art-Pop reibt sich WAGNER + MXO1 an zeitgenössischer elektronischer Musik.
Mit Drum Machine und Sequenzern wird die Basis bereitet auf der Synthesizer, Gesang und Percussion eine von Video- und Performancekunst und nicht zuletzt von den Ideen des „Expanded Cinema" beeinflußte Multimediashow begleiten.
Eine Einladung an alle Protosterne, die eigentlich nach Bollywood wollen, aber zufällig doch in der Peripherie herum strahlen.
